SBY Given Top Knights Award in the UK
SBY will receive the title ‘Sir’
JAKARTA – the British Monarchy gives the highest award to President Yudhoyono (SBY). From this award, the title ‘Sir’ could be added to the name ‘Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’.
The award will be given directly by the British Queen Elizabeth II on SBY’s tour to England on Tuesday October 30 tomorrow. During the tour, SBY will also be discussing about cooperation between Indonesia and the U.K.
“The name of the award is the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath,” said the Special Staff of the President on International Relations, Teuku Faizasyah, in Jakarta on October 29, 2012.
He said the same awards were also given to three other presidents: President Ronald Reagan from the U.S., President Jacques Chirac from France and President Abdullah Gul from Turkey. The tradition of the award is that the recipient will be given a badge. However, Teuku said, there is no special ceremony in giving the awards.
“There is no special ceremony. The Queen will only show it to Mr. President in the display room after lunch on October 31,” said Teuku.

By the way, the source of the news is asbun
SBY cannot be called Sir because of two reasons:
1. Those who could be called Sir are only the receivers of OBE (Order of the British Empire) therefore SBY cannot be called Sir because he is the receiver of OB (Order of the Bath). Even if he can, see # 2 below.
2. Those who can be called Sir are only the citizens of the United Kingdom and its commonwealth. If SBY, for example, has an Indian citizenship, then he can be called ‘Sir’.[These requirements] are searchable in Wikipedia or other written sources. Both sources outline the two points above
