From BeritaJatim:
Suspect Who Drove Into Hang Tuah Students Has Not Been Arrested
The police has not arrested the driver who drove into several Hang Tuah 2 high school students at Sawotratap Gedangan, Sidoarjo. The police will make an arrest only after all examination of witnesses is completed.
This was stated by Kamran, the Police Chief Commissioner of Gedangan, to beritajatim.com. The police is currently still investigating and examining witnesses. The witnesses pool range from other students during the busy break, a teacher who was hit, and the injured victims.
“We will follow up our reports by examining witnesses on the ground. They include the student who was hit and teachers who saw what happened,” said Commissioner Kamran.
As previously reported, Anggara was delivering food to Natasha but was reprimanded by the school security officer from entering through the back door of the school. Angara, who drove a Honda Jazz with license plate L 177 AY, was visibly upset and backed his car to turn around. However, he ended up knocking down some students instead.
Afterwards, Anggara drove his car forward at a high speed and crashed into Alif Kurnia Safitri Kurnia, a student from Class X of Hang Tuah 2 Gedangan High School, who is now lying in a hospital. From the CCTV footage, the fleeing car was pursued by other students but to no avail.

He will probably escape from the law. Deep sympathy and condolences to the injured victim.

Is it true that the suspect has not been arrested because he’s the son of a regional police official?
ahok.btp:
The security guard has seen the suspect’s face so hopefully he won’t be bribed. This asshole’s face should also have been caught on the CCTV.
boendher:
If he’s an official’s son, then the resolution must be ‘peaceful’.
burung.kenari:
This is bad. After causing an incident, this guy hides under the protection of his powerful police dad. This kid needs to be punished!

I feel sorry for the victims …
Life seems to be worth less and less these days … in Indonesia …

Sometimes public officials produce criminal children.

Since the police is unable to take any action, let the public act instead. Hopefully it’ll be fast.

There seems to be many similar cases. It’s becoming a trend among the children of artistes [celebrities] or public officials.
